I can tell you that most computer repair issues are related to malware and scanning with Malware Bytes is usually good enough. If you want to be very thorough you can also scan with Spybot it is still free. I think the days of reformatting and reinstalling Windows is mostly over. You can do a reset in Windows that will save your induvial files but wipe everything else out. If you are having issues like the login screening taking too long to load or your computer is slow in general this can be a good idea. I find if people have issues loading a website to try a different browser as well to troubleshoot. If your computer won’t boot it could be the motherboard. I find computers are so cheap these days most of the time I tell them to just a buy a new one as it not worth it to repair. That is not always the case some people have gaming laptops.
