If you forget your password to log into Windows 10 or Windows 11 here is a guide to reset your password to log back into your Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer.

If you have fallen for some type of scam where you call a number for so called tech support and they remote accessed your computer and are worried about what they could of ran on your computer like backdoor trojan or keylogger. The best thing to do is a Windows 10 or Windows 11 reset. I would say to save your individual files like documents to a usb stick or email them to yourself. Then select remove everything. You will then have to install individual programs back like Chrome and other programs. It will though keep all your current drivers and then from there you can copy back or download back your documents.

If your computer is running slow scanning for Malware is a good idea. I like to suggest Malware Bytes.

If your computer running slow such as takes much too long to log into Windows and you don’t want to reset Windows and have to reinstall programs. These commands that are great for fixing corruption which lead to performance issues.

Remove start up applications to improve performance

If you go to task manager my pushing cltrl alt delete or search for it in the Windows search bar you can then go to the tab startup apps You will want to from there right click and disable applications you don’t need to run when Windows 11 starts. This will not only save you ram but also speed up your boot time. This can improve overall performance of Windows 11. Here is a step by step video on how to do it.

If your computer says it’s out of harddrive space I would recommand you get treesize free version. This application will go through your drive and list the biggest files from the smallest ones. This will makeit eaiser to delete largest from smallest files saving you space you need.

If you uninstall a program through control panel programs uninstall a program and there are still missing parts of the application lingering. You can run Revo Uninstaller to remove everything.

If you do everything suggested and still have poor computer performance, I would recommend a computer reset and to click on remove everything setting. If you do this and your computer still slow that would point to a hardware problem. If you have a laptop depending how old it is and what part of the laptop is causing poor performance you may be cheaper of to get a new laptop. I know for the new laptops you can’t replace the keyboard anymore and some laptops now have ram soldered in. This makes people more likely to get a new laptop then try to repair a hardware issue with it.
